Illusion knitting is magically created with alternating rows of stockinette stitch and garter stitch. The pattern is then worked into the row using the opposite stitch. (i.e. the pattern is purled in a stockinette row and knitted into a garter stitch row.) Any small pattern will work. It’s fast, easy, and best of all will amaze your friends!

You will be alternating colors, working two rows of each color.
Decide which color will be your background and which will be your motif.
Background is Color A. Motif is Color B

With Color A, cast on 42 stitches.
